4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. 2 Tim 4:1-5

Who We Are

We are a conservative congregation that worships in the traditional style.  The singular purpose of our worship is to give praise and glory to God in a fashion limited by the authority God has given us by instruction or example from His word.  Every effort is made in form and function to worship in a manner pleasing to God, no more - no less (Lev 10:1-3).

When you worship with us you will find a friendly congregation that is concerned about the souls of men and women as well as discovering the truths to be found within the Word of God (2 Tim 2:15 / 3:16&17).

We do not have praise teams or instrumental music in worship (Col 3:16).  While women are a vital and integral part of the congregation, we do not utilize women in the worship service in the leading of prayers, leading singing, waiting on the Lord’s Table, or in the teaching of adult Bible classes (1Cor 14:33&34).  Our elders feel strongly that condoning or participating in these activities would be in direct violation of the will of God as laid out in his word.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Mark 1:1) and that it is through His blood that we have redemption of our sins.  We teach that baptism is absolutely necessary in order for one to be saved (Mark 16:16).  Baptism is by immersion only and we do not accept either sprinkling or pouring as modes of baptism (Acts 8:38).  We are saved by grace through faith and must continue to live the Godly life after conversion (Rom5:1&2, 2Pet 1:5-10).

We believe that miracles ceased, those done by the laying on of hands, when the last person on whom the apostles laid their hands died (1 Cor 13:9-13).

We are not pre-millennial and thus do not believe in the popular concept of the thousand year reign, rapture or the tribulation.
